APPROACH
My goals for this type specimen was to capture the 1920s Art Deco feel in order to put the typeface into context and create something that was fun and entertaining to watch.  I felt that the black and gold color palette and the neon cinema-sign illustrations would immediately remind the viewer of the 1920s, while the infinite scroll would leave the viewer wanting more and wondering what was next. I thought adding bananas would be a fun element since Anna and banana sound so similar and Josephine Baker's banana dance (which is also illustrated in this type specimen) was an iconic part of the Art Deco period.
